Using Product Demonstrations at Trade ShowsTrying to get attendees to stop by your trade show booth can be a frustrating experience. Many people are going to search for the exhibits that will give them the most value. This could mean selling them a product they are in need of, having amazing giveaway items, or holding drawings at the booth. While all of these things can definitely bring traffic to your custom trade show display, another way to get noticed is by holding lively demonstrations.

Having a product demonstration sounds easy enough, but there are a few things that can be done to ensure your demonstration goes off without a hitch and creates a memorable experience for your audience. Below are several ways you can do this.

 Tell a Story
Attendees may not even know they need your product until they hear a captivating story that will showcase your product. Create a dilemma in which your product would be the answer to. For example, if you are selling a product that will help with dental hygiene, come up with a problem that this product will help solve. Doing so will help your audience realize they have this same problem and could use a product like that.

Make it Exciting
Now that you have a story to communicate to your audience, it is important that the demonstration be a lively, engaging, and exciting one. Let attendees ask questions, try the product themselves, or ask your audience questions in order to interact with them. Ask for volunteers to try the product and watch how many potential customers you will get from doing so. The more involved they are, the more likely they are to stick around and continue watching the demonstration.

Hire a Professional
You undoubtedly know your products inside and out and could probably do a stellar job of demonstrating them. However, professional demonstrators are experienced in drawing in an audience and getting them excited about the product. They are also able to keep the conversation and energy going in order to have a successful demonstration. By hiring a professional you and your team will be able to focus on other aspects of your show display.

Don’t Take it Seriously
Whether you are the one demonstrating the product or your opted to hire a pro, have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to make jokes about yourself, the product, your brand, or the industry as a whole. Keep the atmosphere light, humorous, and fun and your audience will begin to feel more at ease in your booth.
